Mineralogue was created by The Liminal Stone, an Australian mineral business dedicated to remarkable mineral specimens, provenance, education and thoughtful collecting.
As collectors ourselves, we wanted a simple and beautiful way to document a collection without unnecessary complexity or recurring subscriptions.
Mineralogue was born from that idea.
Why We Built It
Many collection management applications are designed for businesses, require ongoing subscriptions, or store your personal collection on someone else's servers.
We wanted something different.
Mineralogue is designed first and foremost for collectors. It is intended to become a permanent record of your collection, preserving not only what you own, but why you chose it, where it came from, and the story behind each specimen.
Your Collection Belongs to You
Mineralogue has been designed as a local-first application wherever possible.
You own your collection.
You control your information.
We believe your collection should never depend on our servers or an ongoing subscription simply to remain accessible.
When you choose to share something, that choice is always yours. Whether you wish to share a specimen with a friend, export your collection, generate documentation, or provide information to a dealer, museum or family member, Mineralogue keeps you in control.
Nothing is shared automatically. You decide what to share, who to share it with, and when.
Support
Mineralogue is created and maintained by a small independent business.
While we genuinely enjoy improving the application, we cannot provide enterprise-level technical support.
For that reason, the app has been intentionally designed to be simple, dependable and largely self-contained.
If you discover a bug or have an idea for a future feature, we would genuinely love to hear from you.
Future Development
Mineralogue will continue to evolve based on feedback from the collecting community. Our goal is to create software that collectors genuinely enjoy using for many years.
Thank you for supporting independent software created by a mineral collector, for mineral collectors.
